I am looking for a product that is not on your website, can you get it?

Probably yes. We can get all sorts of things that are not listed including specialty parts and tools. Just send us an email at tino@aotearoller.co.nz with your inquiry and we will see what we can do.

What is the best way to work out my size?

The best way to work out your size is to try on skates and see how they feel. If you don’t have this option then take a look at the Riedell sizing chart. If you find the chart a bit hard to decipher just follow the instructions on measuring your feet and send us your measurements and we can help you work out what size you are.

A search through google will also find you the sizing chart you after. The best place to look is the Brand of skates website, as sizing can differ between brands.

Your skates will stretch up to half a size during their lifetime, even more if they are vinyl, so it is important that your skate boots start off as snug as possible without being too small. When working out your size try to avoid over measuring your feet or going up half a size “just to be safe”. Having loose skate boots will not only make your skates much less responsive, it can also cause a number of problems such as blisters and shin splints.

Remember that sizing in different skate brands varies. So if you are buying a pair of Riedell skates then trying on a pair of Sure Grip skates wont necessarily give you the right size.

What do I do if I get the wrong size?

Aotearoller will provide you with all the relevant advice and info to help you choose the correct size. If you manage to get the wrong size we are unfortunately only able to exchange skates between sizes 6-8 as these are the most commonly sold skates. So please, if you are unsure about sizing do not hesitate to contact us.

We are happy to exchange padding as long as it has not been used or damaged in any way.

Extra shipping charges will incur for exchanges.

How long will it take to get my gear?

Providing we have the products in stock we usually send off orders next working day using 1-3 day tracked courier. Sometimes things take a bit longer but if your order does not arrive within a week then please contact us as mix ups do happen.

We try to keep a full stock of everything we can, however we are small store,  so hold more stock of common sizes. Stock sizes are size 5 to size 8. Most other things we have to order in. If we don’t have what you are after we will order it in for you as soon as we can. There is usually a 2 week wait on non-stock orders give or take a couple of days. Should it take any longer for whatever reason we will do our best to keep you up to date with what is going on.

We try to contact customers as fast as we can, however, we  are still working full time jobs until we can open a shop front.

Do you do custom colours?

Yes we do. Customisations cost $150  and take 6-8 weeks to build. Take a look at the Riedell Colour Lab to see what your dream skates would look like.

Do you do custom build skates?

Definitely. Just send me an email and let me know what you are after. If you are not sure I am happy to give you any advice you need to help you build your perfect skates.
